Marilyn founded Averill Insurance Agency in 1989, with twenty-three years Property Casualty Insurance background. She envisioned a local agency of accessibility and responsiveness for clients.
Enhanced service levels let people make informed decisions. We are not salespeople, we’re educators, we help clients manage risk. The formula seems to work.
With an additional thirty-five years building Averill, she enjoys great rapport with long time customers, who value her advice when making insurance choices. The best compliment is a confident referral from a satisfied client and we are continually blessed with many of those. Marilyn has built a talented team of agents, all accomplished and capable of making sure our clients are well protected.
Marilyn lives in Cumberland. Her daughter, Susan, is Averill’s Vice President, assuring Agency continuation for years to come. Marilyn enjoys her gardens, a riveting book, entertaining, and sunny days spent on the boat with family. She’s grateful for the many friends made over the years through and around this work. She is a six-term past Secretary for Cumberland North Yarmouth Lions Club, serving two terms as its President. Community, and giving back, is strong with Averill, and Marilyn. She supports many local causes, town activities, and tries to provide a great resource to those around us.
